From April 27 - May 1, 2018, I joined 29 women and non-binary people on a bus from NYC to New Orleans to conceive, build, and launch a blockchain startup in just 72 hours. If you've been keeping up with the news, you know the ways in which disruptive cryptocurrencies have provided prospects for both positive social change, and in its opposite, crypto-colonialism and tax evasion prospects for the ultra-rich. On StartupBus' website, it's noted that women comprise only 4-6% of blockchain investors. StartupBus seeks to disrupt the divides between metropolitan tech hubs and rural communities.
