Here's to life! In Fromings & Goings, seven women with connections to the Lower East Side & East Village in New York City reflect on the experiences that shaped them in the past and present, and dream of their own power and possibility in the future. Fromings & Goings features original music and perspectives on place, change, empathy, care, womanhood, and aging from a group of lifetime New Yorkers.

The resulting script and storytelling celebration wasshared for a public audience on May 22, 2021. Please reach out if you would like to see a copy of the script or the recording.

Fromings & Goings develped from a theatrical storytelling workshop series for ages 55+ in collaboration with the Educational Alliance and 3 senior centers on the Lower East Side of New York City. More information is available here.

Artful Storytelling was made possible by the Catalyzing Creative Aging seed grant from the National Guild for Community Arts Education which was funded, in part, by generous support from Aroha Philanthropies and the NAMM Foundation. The Catalyzing Creative Aging Program is presented by the National Guild for Community Arts Education in partnership with Lifetime Arts, and includes group training, one-on-one coaching, and funding.
