In Our Stories Are Alive, LGBTQIA2S+ older adults and younger co-conspirators will discover what we are called to communicate about ourselves and our future. Our Stories Are Alive builds on a program in partnership with Spectrum Arts Productions called the S.G.B. Generational Bridge Program, created with Craig Anthony Bannister and supported by Apollo Boissiere.

We are creating a community ensemble of performers in the welcoming home of the Queens Center for Gay Seniors in Jackson Heights, NY, in partnership with LaGuardia Community College.

Through workshops that mix theatre games, improv, poetry performance, and story circles, we are building community and develop a "promenade-style" (like a parade but synchronized and intimate) performance on the Jackson Heights 34th Avenue Open Street.

In June 2025, Liliana Rebolledo Vergara brought her experience as a musician and activist to the group, deepening our experiences as music and song leaders. Our work will continue in Fall 2025.
